The homeowners wanted home modifications to better suit their lifestyles. The clients intended to make sure that the remodeling wouldn’t compromise the neighborhood’s character or heritage. EdgeWork made the choice to use a modern flat roof style in order to reduce the overall structure height. A jalousie porch was converted into an enlarged dining room and kitchen as part of the rear addition. An upper terrace is located on the flat roof above this space, which is ideal for private entertaining. Hidden steel beams helped create an open layout instead of the previous small compartments.
