To add natural light to the space, the appliances were moved, the arched command center wall was taken down, a patio door to the deck was eliminated, and big windows were placed over a new sink. For additional cabinet space, the single entryway to the adjacent deck was moved to the area’s right. Retextured ceilings, lighter-colored floors, and more recessed lighting were also added.
