Tampa Bay is an unsung hero of the high-end real estate market. Between its swathes of waterfront property and among the sprawling mansions of Harbour Island and Davis Islands, Florida’s west coast plays host to out-of-towners with vacation estates, as well as born-and-bred Floridians looking for a picturesque lifestyle.
Much like these homeowners, some of the general contractors on our list of Tampa custom home builders can trace their family roots back five generations, while others were drawn to the Gulf for its myriad home designs. Outdoor living rooms, pools, and even equestrian stables may be pieces of what you have imagined for you and your family.
Not every construction company is suited to building your dream home; the licensed contractors we have selected are experts in home building and home remodeling projects, with specific experience working within the parameters of Tampa’s most prestigious neighborhoods and most unique styles. A few are also design-build residential contractors who can partner with you to make your new home a reality.
If you are thinking about building a custom home, we recommend checking each builder’s license with the local licensing board, speaking to past clients, and using our bidding system to get competitive quotes from at least 3 contractors. Getting multiple bids is the best way to ensure you get a fair price and that bids include the complete scope of work.
